Please Note: For
Reduced-Carbohydrates or Low-Fat Pies substitute using such
ingredients
as
Splenda for sweetener,
whole milk instead of can milk, trans-fat free margarine instead
of butter.
Bake in a whole
wheat crust instead of a white crust.
Procedure
1.
Sort and wash bean thoroughly. (Remove defective rocks,
pebbles or other non-bean items when sorting.)
2. Let beans soak in plenty
of water for 2-3 hours until swelled.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4.
Cover bean with clean water and cook thoroughly
until tender and soft. Hull will appear to have separated from the bean.
5.
Drain water from bean. Use a spiral strainer to remove
the husk from the bean leaving you with a nice, creamy and pasty
mixture.
